What makes us different from other clinics
3D hair loss testing device AFS
The most important thing in hair loss testing is observing change. How the hair at the back of the head differs from other areas, how today’s hairline differs from a year ago — that comparison is the key to an accurate diagnosis.
Consistent condition control
Shooting distance, angle, lighting, and other conditions are kept constant, so changes can be compared under identical conditions no matter when the photos are taken.
360° precision imaging
360-degree rotational imaging regardless of head shape. About 500 photos per person (at 30-degree intervals) capture symptoms across the entire scalp without missing anything.
AI follicle analysis
AI maps and analyzes the positions of pores and follicles, then evaluates everything down to the hairline with precision based on this data.
Scanning the scalp thoroughly in 360 degrees
Before your consultation, we scan the entire scalp thoroughly with 360-degree rotational imaging. Using a 3D scalp scanner featured on TV, we record the condition of every part of the scalp — easy to miss with the naked eye — and use it as the baseline for your care.
Hair Microscopy Exam
At Motential, a hair microscopy exam compares hair thinning and density across the areas where hair loss is progressing, precisely measuring the current health of your hair. In particular, we identify patterns in areas most likely to progress to hair loss, anticipate future progression, and build a long-term hair loss treatment plan.

AI Hair Loss Diagnosis
The diagnostic standard for hair loss lies in change
The most accurate method is confirming how hair thickness and density have changed compared to the past. When you are tested for the first time and past records are limited, we estimate progression by comparing the density of hair at the back of the head — relatively less affected by hair loss — with other areas.
We analyze your hair’s thickness and density
When hair from each area — the back of the head, the crown, the hairline — is photographed under the microscope, the AI hair loss diagnostic device analyzes the thickness and density of the hair in the images. Because the results come out as numbers, they can be confirmed with greater accuracy.
The exam is not the end
The causes of hair loss are remarkably varied: family history, stress, dieting, everyday hair styling, hair-pulling habits, and even other conditions already under treatment. That is why testing must always be paired with a detailed consultation. If you receive a one-sided diagnosis and prescription without sufficient explanation, it is hard to find a reason to continue treatment. Our goal is for the nagging questions you had when you first walked in to be fully resolved through testing and consultation — visit us anytime, and we will consult with you with the utmost care.
